The story behind QiLoom
QiLoom combines Qi and Loom. Qi comes from the Mandarin word 气, written qì in pinyin and pronounced roughly “chee” with a falling tone. In our name, it represents the breath and vitality of everyday life. A loom is a machine that weaves threads into fabric.
Together, these images express “weaving life and traditional wisdom together.” Everyday experiences and inherited knowledge become threads that connect culture with practical tools for modern living. The short, open-ended name leaves room to grow from date tools into traditional culture and other everyday subjects.
